Hi everyone,

The annual Leslie Spit Clean-up, led by members of APSC, is held each year concurrent with the Tommy Thompson Park Spring Bird Festival.

However, like the past two years, TRCA is not holding the bird festival again this year due to the pandemic. However we will continue as we have done in past, though this year the date is a week later than usual at Saturday May 14.

I will be at the Tommy Thompson Park parking lot at 10am to greet people. Please bring your own work gloves and 2 garbage bags. No particular amount of time is required of you, but spending up to two hours walking and picking up trash will fly by. This is a WORK HOURS event, from 3 to 5 depending on the individual. I will join the “pickers” at about 11 am.

Social will have a little somethin’-somethin’ for you when you arrive at the club with your bags of booty. Please leave them in the dinghy compound to prevent wildlife from having access.

If you choose to help sorting at the club along with Andres Pang, director of the Social committee, please let me know! Additional hours will be allotted.
