Membership Categories
Social
The social membership is for those who wish to attend APSC events, functions, but do not actively sail. Social members would pay an annual fee of $100.00 social members would not be assigned a ball , and or have votes at the Annual General meeting- they would be invited to attend meetings speak on issues and participate in all club functions. In addition to the Annual $100.00 they would be asked to contribute 5 work hours and post a $25.00 cheque to be cashed in lieu of the 5 work hours.
Aquatic
This category would include (but not be limited to) recreational activities such as: Windsurfing, Canoeing, Kayaking, and Paddle-boarding, additional activities could added at the discretion of the executive and ratified by the membership.
- Initiation Fee $350.00
- Annual fee $250.00 per person
As a member that has paid the initiation fee, and the annual fee the member would have full voting rights as a member of APSC. Should a recreational member wish to transition to full (Sailing) membership the $350 initiation fee would be credited towards the full (sailing membership) initiation fee. Aquatic members would be right of first refusal on sailing membership – if a waiting list for full sailing membership exists.
Aquatic members would have full use of all APSC programs and services, including social events, shuttle access, clubhouse, barbecues, and boat storage locker. Recreational member would be required to contribute 30 hours per season and post a refundable cheque of $525.00, the same partial refund as Sailing members would be in effect.
Initially, recreational membership would be limited to 25 positions. This number could be enlarged as the new members are integrated into the club programs. Total Recreational membership numbers will be based on storage issues and on the club’s ability to offer equal access to all members.

This membership category would be open to sailors who have been members of APSC for more than 10 years. Theses members would have no voting rights, ability to attend all meeting and activities, have no mooring ball.
