For the first time in 3 years, Saturday May 13th, the TRCA is hosting the annual Bird Festival at Tommy Thompson Park!!

​

  • The festival celebrates the spring bird migration and focuses on the importance of TT Park as a nesting destination for certain bird species. 

  • APSC becomes involved by hosting the Annual Spit Clean Up!

  • Come to the park entrance where you will see information tables set up, and look for the APSC table.

  • There, members Cathryn McFarlane and Paul Scott will have garbage bags for you to use collecting trash that has been blown ashore or left by thoughtless visitors over the past season. 

 

THERE IS ALWAYS A LOT TO PICK UP! 

 

  • Come for an hour or two, then bring your garbage bags to the APSC clubhouse. There will be coffee and snacks provided there. 

  • The event begins at 7AM til about 1 pm.

 

>>> Wear sturdy, water-resistant footwear, weather-appropriate clothing and work gloves!<<<

 

This is an important annual event for us as stewards of the Park, and your attendance is much appreciated.
